With  ArtinaBoxCo.

Blow off a lil’ STEAM with new ideas for the kids

 during a fun 4-day vacation workshop this winter.

With small intimate groups, kids will use the principles of STEAM:

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art integration and Math

to explore & learn complex concepts through simple project based activities & play.

AGE: Grades 1 – 4

DATE: Tuesday December 26^th - Friday 29^th

TIME:  9:00AM – 3:00PM   PLACE: Ossining Recreation Center

COST: $150.00 per student

*Please provide bag lunch & snack for your child.

LIL’ BRIDGES

Bridges. Learning through the engineering process involved in building the new bridge, we will design and brainstorm, and mathematically challenge the group. 

WIRED

Mobiles.  Inspired by Alexander Calder’s creations, the group will explore Newton’s Laws, construction, sculpture and play games based on weight, gravity and measurements.

BRANCHIN’ OUT

Trees.  With trees as our focus, we will investigate the effects of Climate Change in our environment.  Engineered models and math will help kids to grasp the causes of climate change and our communities shift to sustainability.

STEAM OLYMPICS

FUN.  Students will enjoy an organized battle of the minds, competitive games and activities based on STEAM.

10 weeks of textile exploration inspired art. 

Have fun with simple projects, exploring pattern, deconstruction,

environmental & cultural expression.  Using recyclable, found and everyday medium. 

Projects include Deconstructed Weaving, Recyclable Totems, Word Art, Metal Mandalas, 3-D Figures, Paper Sculpture and more!
